Getting Started

01

Connect Discord

Log in with your Discord account to create your BFL profile. Your display name and avatar are pulled from Discord.

02

Set Your Nickname

Head to your Profile and set a custom public nickname. You can change it once every 24 hours.

03

Pick a Match

Go to Team Builder and select an upcoming match. Teams can only be submitted while the match is Upcoming.

04

Draft Your Team

Pick 13 players — 10 starters + 3 bench. Stay within the 100 VP budget. Assign each player to their role slot.

05

Choose Your Captain

Mark any one starter as Captain. Your captain earns 2× fantasy points for that match.

06

Lock In & Watch

Submit your team — the roster and prices are locked. Watch the match and check the Leaderboard after results drop.

Team Structure

Every team has 13 players — 10 starters across 4 roles, plus 3 bench slots. Total budget is 100 VP.

💺

Budget & Pricing

100 VP

Total Budget

Spend wisely across 13 players. Stronger players cost more — finding undervalued picks is the key to winning.

Player Price Range

Prices are derived from each player's MVP score from past tournaments. Prices update between matches.

⚠ Purchase prices are locked at submission time — your budget display won't drift if a player's market price changes later.

Scoring System

After a match, each player receives an MVP Score (2–20)based on their in-game stats. Your fantasy points come from your starters' MVP scores.

Formula: Each starter contributes MVP_score × 10 points. Your captain contributes MVP_score × 2 × 10. Bench players score 0 unless activated by an admin substitution.

Captain Strategy

C — The Captain Badge

Any starter (non-bench) can be captain. Pick the player you expect to have the highest MVP score — their points double. A great captain pick is the single biggest lever in your lineup.

  • Pick a high-price star if you expect them to dominate
  • Differential pick: captain an underpriced player others ignore
  • You can only set captain before lock-in — no changes after submission

Leaderboard & Ranking

After admin calculates results for a match, every submitted team is scored and ranked on the Leaderboard. Click any player row to see their full team lineup.

Your position shows as (you) with a teal highlight. Use Go to My Position on the leaderboard sidebar to jump straight to your rank.

Rankings are per-match — there is no cross-match cumulative total yet. Each match is its own competition.

Quick FAQ

What happens if a player doesn't play?

If a real player is substituted, the admin can activate a bench player in your team to replace them.

Can I submit multiple teams?

One team per match per account. Choose wisely.

When do results come out?

After the match ends, the admin uploads stats and calculates results. Check the leaderboard shortly after.
